| Welcome |
As a costume designer with 20 years experience in theater,
film, and event production. I have designed and worked on
hundreds of shows in professional theaters in Washington,
DC, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Paris, France, Prague, Czech
Republic and Bali, Indonesia. I construct and build many
of my costumes and I am skilled in pattern making, millinery,
wigs, makeup, and puppetry. From fantastical to period and
historic, I have built original and unique costumes as well
as shopped and managed wardrobe.
In the last 10 years I have worked as a public art organizer,
producer and artist: organizing multi-art media events,
visual arts installation, kids activities (face painting,
craft activities, mural painting), hiring and directing
of stilt walkers and cirque performers, Baroque themed events,

floral design, costumed models, floating river parade of
sculpture with festival destinations, live musical acts,
fire-eaters, live art activities, and film showings.
My teaching experience is based on my practical talents
in different media; mosaic, glass sculpture, earthen building
techniques and sewing. I am particularly proud of my work
program planning and teaching with the Sew-Op; a not-for-profit
organization whose goal is to spread the concept of creativity
and utility as a means to building community.
